The technical bi-monthly meeting of the policy analysis unit was organized on 28 July 2023 at the meeting room of the Social Economic Policy Research Institute (LASES). The meeting was hosted by Mr. Latsavong Bounsiphome Deputy Director General of the Social Economic Policy Research Institute (LASES). The meeting was attended by members of the policy analysis units, representative from data analysis unit and UNICEF for more than 26 participants.
The meeting aims to cover several important topics: evaluating the progress of PAU activities in Q1 and Q2 of 2023 and outlining plans for Q3, clarifying the role of the policy analysis team, presenting the results of the central-level training needs assessment (TNA) and discussing the capacity development plan for 2023, drafting the sustainable development plan for the NIPN project, collaborating on the creation of the National Nutrition Research Agenda (NNRA) for Lao PDR, and addressing the development of research questions for 2023 within the Policy Analysis Unit, including a review of how they were generated in 2022 and proposing the plan for 2023, as well as distributing a survey form to prioritize research topics for the upcoming year.
