The Multiple Overlapping Deprivation Analysis (MODA) on Stunting in Lao PDR report was published under the umbrella of NIPN. The report revealed interesting findings at both national and provincial levels on the determinants and intensity of stunting among children under 5 years in Lao PDR. H.E. Dr Kikeo Chantaboury, Vice Minister of MPI and Chair of   NIPN Advisory Committee; Mr. Leo Faber, EU Ambassador to Lao PDR and Mr. Irfan Akhtar, OIC Representative, UNICEF Lao PDR jointly launched the report.

The report placed emphasis on the need for multi-sectoral collaboration and coordination in addressing the high burden of stunting in the country. The need for effective joint planning, budgeting and continuous monitoring of results at all levels through a multisectoral approach based on good data was highlighted as a requirement for addressing the multiple overlapping deprivations facing children in Lao PDR.
