On February 11, 2025, at the Settha Palace Hotel in Vientiane Capital, the National Information Platforms for Nutrition Project held the 2024 annual advisory board committee meeting. The meeting was chaired by his excellency Dr.Sathabandith Insisiengmay, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment and Chairman of the Advisory Board Committee. The meeting was organized to present and report on the project implementation progress in 2024, including challenges and lessons learned.
Representatives from six provinces (Phongsaly, Oudomxay, Khammouane, Savannakhet, Salavan, and Sekong) implementing the NIPN project at the provincial level also attended to report on their 2024 annual activity implementation results. Additionally, the meeting discussed the project sustainability plan beyond 2025 when the project ends, to ensure activities can continue. Participants provided feedback on this sustainability plan, which will be finalized for implementation within 2025.
The meeting also heard preliminary results of the 2024 research work, which includes four research topics that will be presented at the annual research dissemination in March 2025. The half-day meeting concluded successfully.
