On April 30, 2025, the NIPN Website Homepage Consulting Meeting was held at the Ministry of Planning and Investment. Chaired by Mr. Viengkhone Buaphachanh, Deputy Director General of the Development Research Institute (DRI), the half-day meeting brought together representatives from key sectors and UNICEF to consult on improving the NIPN website.
Discussions focused on proposed indicators, data-sharing mechanisms, web structure, and user-friendly design. Sector representatives shared valuable inputs, including the need for clear data coordination, sector-based repository organization, and options for interactive tools and user access. There was also strong support for transitioning technical maintenance to LSB, with DRI continuing to coordinate content in collaboration with sectors.
The meeting concluded with agreement on next steps: all sectors are encouraged to collaborate with DRI on content and suggestions; further discussions will finalize the redesign and management approach; and a long-term cost and sustainability strategy will be developed.
