The 9-Month Nutrition Committee Meeting for 2025 took place on November 11, 2025, at the Khammouane Provincial Health Department. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Keoudon Boutsingkhon, Deputy Governor of Khammouane Province and Chairman of the Provincial Nutrition Committee. It was attended by provincial and district committee members, the Secretariat, as well as representatives from international organizations and development partners.
In his opening statement, Dr. Keoudon Boutsingkhon highlighted: “This meeting will review the implementation of the nutrition action plan, focusing on key achievements, challenges, and the status of commitments made during the National Nutrition Conference in March 2024. This includes the implementation of the Human Development Summit Declaration. The meeting will also lay out plans for the final year of the National Nutrition Action Plan 2021-2025, and seek to mobilize efforts from all sectors to support and provide funding to urgently address nutrition issues.

He further called on all participants to prioritize research, deepen problem analysis, and engage in discussions to share insights, lessons learned, and solutions. “This conference will provide a platform to set a clear, practical direction for the future, aligned with current realities. It will also strengthen coordination and cooperation among local public and private sectors, as well as development partners and donors, to urgently implement strategies that improve the malnutrition situation. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that people from all ethnic groups enjoy a better quality of life and contribute to the development of human resources, in line with our nation’s long-term objectives.”
