The high prevalence of malnutrition remains a significant challenge in Lao PDR. Despite impressive gains in economic growth over the past decade, Lao PDR still has one of the highest rates of chronic malnutrition in Southeast Asia. The purpose of the assessment is to assess the nutrition situation and identify factors hindering nutrition services with respect to both the delivery supply and the demand at the community level in four selected provinces.
