The Nutrition Surveillance aims to ensure the availability and utilization of reliable and frequent multi-sectoral nutrition information to support planning, design and implementation of interventions in Lao PDR. It continuously assesses the food and nutrition status in the defined sentinel sites in all the 18 provinces. The data represents at national level for monitoring the trend of food and nutrition status among the population and is recommended to conduct once in every six months. However, due to COVID-19 pandemic and other reasons, the Government was not able to conduct surveillance in 2021 and conducted only one round of surveillance in 2022. The data presented here were results of surveillance round 2 of 2019 (Dec), round 1 of 2022 (Mar) and round 1 of 2023 (Mar).
