From December 8-10, 2025, the provinces of Sekong and Saravan hosted a training session on “Nutrition Data Analysis and Support for Provincial Planning” as part of the National Information Platforms for Nutrition (NIPN) Project. The event, organized by the Sekong Provincial Finance Department, brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Department of Economic and Fiscal Policy, Ministry of Finance, UNICEF, and officials from various provincial sectors, such as the Provincial Health Department, the Provincial Agriculture and Environment Department, and the Provincial Education and Sports Department.

The opening ceremony was led by Mr. Sisouphan Inthanouvong, Deputy Director of the Sekong Provincial Finance Department. The primary goal of the training was to strengthen the capacity of provincial stakeholders in statistical analysis, nutrition data interpretation, and support planning for the NIPN Project (Phase 2). This initiative aims to enhance nutrition data management and policy support in both Sekong and Saravan provinces, contributing to the overall objectives of the broader NIPN project.
